Jeanne Mariani-Belding was elected as secretary for UNITY: Journalists of Color. The two-year term begins on Jan. 1, 2009.

  • Congratulations to AAJA members who were recognized on July 11 at the Society of Professional Journalists Hawai‘i Chapter 2007 Excellence in Journalism Awards. Beverly Keever, AAJA member and retiring University of Hawai‘i professor, was presented with a lifetime achievement award. Keever taught and mentored many of the state's journalists.
